As a faith-based, not-for-profit organization, we exist to serve older adults and their families, and to support the health goals of our patients. We don’t have owners, shareholders or stockholders – we’re accountable to the patients and families we serve.
Care for your Career
Caregiving requires its own support system. At Commonheart, we strive to give our staff everything they need to provide the best care. That starts with creating an environment where we look after our own—offering emotional support, resources, and frequent expressions of gratitude. We invest in our people through training and career development opportunities. By emphasizing collaboration, we ensure that no one feels alone.
Great care starts with taking care of yourself. That’s why we prioritize work-life balance via stable schedules, offering primarily Monday–Friday first-shift hours and limited on-call responsibilities. We also provide resources for retirement planning and caregiver well-being.
To further support our team, we provide full- and part-time employees with access to a Commonheart Subaru Crosstrek for both work and personal use.
More Ways We Support Our Team:
Competitive pay and benefits
Paid orientation & shadowing opportunities
At Commonheart, we don’t just care for our residents—we care for you.
Illuminus Institute
At Illuminus, it is our staff–our people–who illuminate the way, by delivering the highest quality of care to all we serve and fostering a culture of community. As such, we do what we can to set our people up for success. The Illuminus Institute began in 2018 with a focus on creating an innovative and robust new hire orientation and onboarding program. The Institute has since added State Approved Community Based Resident Services (CBRF) training to its offerings. Looking to the future, we hope to also offer CNA Training, Career Laddering, Education Scholarships, Leadership Training, and other empowerment and engagement growth and development opportunities.
